Explore the Binckhorst with us
De Titaan is currently our workplace and creative base of operations for publisher Media Fresca, which is launching Kingstreet Dutch and Kingstreet International magazines at the end of November. From here, we regularly venture into the neighbourhood to discover the good life in the Binckhorst, formerly mainly known as an industrial area. And although we still see construction cranes in the district, there are plenty of creative and culinary hotspots to discover. We give you our tips.

Street art
In the Binckhorst, you come across street art everywhere. Something pops up on every corner: a colourful wall, a portrait or a pattern among the sheds. Hague, national and international artists have left their work here, from walls and transformer houses to the lobby and rooms of the Teleport Hotel and even in the oratory at St Barbara cemetery. Our favourite is the Escherian artwork by artist duo Beer and Bread near the Escher Hall, visible from De Titaan's terrace. If you want to see everything, follow the Street Art Route Binckhorst via the online map of The Hague Street Art.
Food and drink
Our coffee stop is almost always at Brute Bonen, where the beans are freshly roasted and sustainably produced. Among the greenery and coffee plants, you can taste the love for the craft. For an Italian lunch, we walk to the Italian restaurant Giorgio Rosa by Rein Rambaldo, known from Miss Jones, with fresh pastas and other Mediterranean dishes. Want fancy dining by the water? Then opt for Glaswerk. Starting the weekend off right? Then you'll be at Kompaan perfect, with views of the Binckhorsthaven and beers with typical Hague names.

Creative energy
What makes the Binckhorst special is the concentration of creative spaces. From De Titaan we work among start-ups, designers and makers, an environment that suits our way of working. You can read more about De Titaan in the upcoming edition of Kingstreet.

The Caballero Fabriek and the Fokker Terminal are also worth a visit: dozens of creative studios and events such as Art The Hague and ImpactFest make the neighbourhood lively. Also be sure to step in at Secrid (of pass holders) in, their headquarters is a wonderful example of design and sustainability.

And that's not all. Padel enthusiasts will find their place at BinckPadel, skaters at Skatepark Sweatshop and those who love VR can visit The Park Playground. So there is plenty to do. Go and discover it in the Binckhorst, just like we did.
