Kingstreet Magazine and Art The Hague celebrate an artistic collaboration

Kingstreet Magazine and Art The Hague are launching a year-long collaboration centred around contemporary art, encounters, and international networks. A highlight is a private networking lunch for fifty art lovers, entrepreneurs, and creative professionals during the Art The Hague fair, taking place from 1 to 5 October at the Fokker Terminal.

“There’s a lot happening in this city when it comes to art,” says organiser Axel Lemmens. “Through this collaboration with Kingstreet Magazine, we’re able to reach new art enthusiasts. What’s more, an art fair is often more accessible to many than simply walking into a gallery.”

Axel Lemmens (Art The Hague) and Annerieke Simeone (Kingstreet)
toast to their collaboration.

During the lunch, Kingstreet’s international guests will be treated to a culinary experience by Chimi & Churri, with wines selected by The Hague-based wine expert Patrizio Massaro of Art Wine, who has Italian roots. That afternoon, art collector Jos Ruijs will give an informal talk on how to start collecting art.

“Axel approached us because Kingstreet has an interesting international network,” says Annerieke Simeone, editor-in-chief of Kingstreet Magazine. “With our platform, we connect business with beauty. In Art The Hague, we’ve found a partner who shares that same vision.”

The art fair showcases not only established galleries such as Project 2.0,Livingstone Gallery and Dürst Britt & Mayhew, but also features strong international representation. For example, Paris-based Galerie Electron Libre presents a selection of Japanese-Korean art, while Ophrys Art Gallery exhibits paintings from Azerbaijan. Each year, Art The Hague selects an Artist of the Year. This edition, it’s Jeroen Duijf, represented by Eindhoven-based Galerie Nasty Alice. Pulchri Studio is also showing work by young talent Lukas Vonk from the Royal Academy of Art.

Herman van Veen will also have a presence at Art The Hague. Whether the singer will attend in person remains to be seen. “We hope so,” says Lemmens with a smile.
