1. Favourite restaurant
Restaurant Ñ
At Restaurant Ñ, you immediately imagine yourself in southern spheres. The yellow façade and the inviting terrace seem straight out of a book by Gabriel García Márquez, where the scent of authentic Spanish and Mediterranean dishes comes your way. From fresh seafood to spicy chilli and dishes with delicate sauces - there is plenty to enjoy here. An absolute must? The surprising goat yoghurt ice cream with naan and rhubarb compote - an unforgettable finale!

2. Favourite ice cream parlour
IJssalon Florencia
For the best ice cream in The Hague, people have been going to IJssalon Florencia for decades. It is the favourite spot of our facilities department, really a place where young and old, artist or businessman, meet. My personal favourite? Stracciatella - perfectly creamy and full of flavour. Visiting Florencia feels like a little trip back in time, where craft and delight come together in every bite.

3. Favourite cocktail bar
Kunstbar Den Haag
A unique combination of art and delectable cocktails, Kunstbar Den Haag is an ideal place for meeting art collectors, but also for anyone looking for a special evening. I recently got to experience a one-off sake dinner there - a visual spectacle as well as a taste explosion all in one. A perfect place to awaken your senses.

4. Favourite bakery
Pompernikkel
At Pompernikkel, you can taste the passion of young artists who bake with heart and soul. Their sourdough breads are legendary and the pastries are true works of art. My personal favourites? The spelt buns: delicious and honest, exactly what you would expect from a bakery with so much love for the trade. Here, you can taste in every bite that craftsmanship is alive and thriving.

5. Favourite bookshop
Page Not Found
Much more than a bookstore, Page Not Found is a dynamic and inclusive platform for anyone who loves unique prints. You will always discover something unexpected and inspiring. From exceptional art books to experimental publications, this place celebrates the richness of artistic publication and is a true playground for lovers of the printed work.
