1. Favourite restaurant
Walter Benedict
Every month, I take myself on a solo date, and more often than not, it leads me to Walter Benedict. Their ever-changing menu never misses, the service is impeccable, and their 0.0 white sparkling wine is so good, you’ll want the whole bottle. Add a sun-drenched garden and brasserie charm, and you’ll never want to leave.

2. Favourite cocktail bar
The Five Points Bar & Drink Society
Now, you might think someone who doesn’t drink alcohol shouldn’t be giving cocktail recommendations, but I’d argue the opposite. If a place can impress a non-drinker, imagine what they can do with the real thing. Enter The Five Points Bar & Drink Society, where the Virgin Pornstar Martini never misses, and the mixologists are true artists in cocktail alchemy.

3. Favourite spot
De Uithof
While I have my go-to people for all things vanity (not based in The Hague), true radiance begins within. For that, nothing rivals a walk or jog through The Hague’s De Uithof park – where woodlands, wild strawberries, bison, and birds await. It’s soul-soothing, slightly magical, and the most elegant way to rack up 20,000 steps without even noticing.

4. Favourite cake shop
A la tarte
While I’m not usually big on cakes, A LA TARTE has my heart whenever a birthday rolls around. Their sweet creations are a dream, especially for those dear friends who are vegan or gluten-free. Must-tries? The Matcha Lime Tofu Cheesecake, Pearl Chocolate Cake, and the Blueberry Orange Bean Tart. Delightful, inclusive, and impossible to resist.

5. Favourite bakery
Bartine Bakery & Market
After a good gym session, there’s a 99.9% chance you’ll find me at Bartine Bakery & Market, indulging in their heavenly cinnamon and cardamom buns. Buttery, French-inspired, and, most importantly, approved by my discerning baker friend. A little post-workout decadence never hurt anyone… especially when the pastries satisfy every delicate taste bud.
