Newer than new is caf\u00e9 Mosa<\/a> on Valkenbosplein. Caf\u00e9 Madeleine was converted into a 'modern European caf\u00e9' while retaining some familiar elements. A number of employees also remained. Which is nice for the regulars. Mosa cooperates with small wine importers from The Hague such as Wijn op Dronk and Bodeg\u00f3n Pablo. And they also have a decent selection of grappas, port and sherries. One of the owners, Marte Luursema, told us her favourite dish: pointed cabbage with shiitake gravy, dill oil, cavolo nero and chickerewt dukkah. Savoury, sweet, crispy. Luursema, also a vinologist, recommends a glass of weissburgunder with this.<\/span><\/p>\n

Women's power! In The Hague's Zeeheldenkwartier, mother and daughter jointly opened Caf\u00e9 Pomegranate. The Australian Brunch Caf\u00e9 serves brunches as well as high teas and breakfasts. Comfort food at its best.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

After a first successful branch in Amsterdam, social enterprise Dignita is coming to The Hague. Through their restaurants and in-house academy, Dignita<\/a> vulnerable men and women training, workplaces and tailored counselling. Besides this initiative, you can also just eat and drink at Dignita. Win win win. So fancy a cocktail, a juice or homemade cake? Off to the Zeeheldenkwartier!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Fan of Hague coffee roaster Roast Factory? Then we have good news. In a few months they will open JoeJoe Coffee<\/a> in an old coffee brewery (1920) on Brouwersgracht. \"At JoeJoe you will soon come for really special coffees that you would like to sit down for a while.\" Work is currently still going on in the historic building. The new coffee bar (with terrace!) with more than 50 covers is expected to open in early April.<\/span><\/p>\n

It may still feel like a distant memory, but the beach season is already upon us. Near the Zandmotor, on the southernmost stretch of beach in The Hague, beach tent Otrobanda is opening. Otrabanda is named after a slum area in Cura\u00e7ao that has since become a popular holiday destination. Let the name foreshadow the season ahead.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
