Magic spells do not exist. So, if you want to become more beautiful \u2013 and even the most beautiful people want that \u2013 or get rid of stress, fatigue or pain, you will not find the solution in a book of fairy tales. But you will find it in a historic building on the Noordeinde. Blue Diamonds Health & Beauty Club<\/a> pampers everyone. Ashkan Nahany and his wife, Babs, started their beauty salon about two years ago. Their daughter, Cathleen, also works there, and today even their son is relaxing under the chandelier in the lounge. There is a relaxed atmosphere in this family-run business.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s not just about the treatment here, but also the experience,\u201d Ashkan confirms. \u201cWhen you enter the lounge, there is coffee waiting and a piano. You sometimes feel better here than at home. When the doors close, you leave the hustle and bustle of the city behind.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cRest and relaxation\u201d are recurring words during the conversation. On the noble floor, you can get a facial, a pedicure or a manicure. Go downstairs and you step into a completely different world. It is dimly lit, which instantly gives a certain tranquillity. There are individual rooms where you can undergo different therapies. \u201cIn 45\u202fminutes, you can be completely de-stressed or, conversely, fully recharged,\u201d Babs says.<\/p>\n

Blue Diamonds works with doctors. A cosmetic doctor administers Botox and filler treatments, but there is also a weight-loss programme. The podiatrist is the newest addition; he looks at health through the feet and gives advice. He prescribes treatments and addresses the cause of pain. Guests of various hotels in The Hague can get a discount on treatment here. In turn, the hotels send their staff to Blue Diamonds for massages. Babs and Ashkan proudly say, \u201cWe have developed a highly successful vitality programme for staff and employees of companies.\u201d<\/p>\n

Balance<\/h2>\n

Babs continues, \u201cThe Mind & Body Package is the most complete programme we offer. It reduces stress and tension, restores emotional balance and sharpens the mind in a session of three short treatments. It\u2019s half an hour per bed, so all together it takes an hour and a half. Most people feel reborn when they go outside. The warm quartz sand bed moulds to your body and prevents back pain during the massage. The \u2018MLX IDome\u2019 is an infrared sauna with light therapy, it cleanses the body of toxins and is very good for people with skin problems, injuries and osteoarthritis too; it relieves pain.\u201d She demonstrates how to lie down in the tube. A transparent dome is put over your head and emits different colours of light.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2019Welnamis\u2019 is a sound therapy. You lie on a warm and soft waterbed and experience computer-controlled acoustic vibrations that help your brain and body relax. It works like a power nap for people with jet lag as well as helping with sleep problems. A scientist in America developed the phenomenon to help soldiers with post-traumatic stress disorder. It also benefits people with a burnout. We had someone who was completely rid of it after 12 sessions.\u201d<\/p>\n

Husband Ashkan adds, \u201cIn 20\u202fminutes, you are in heaven. Some fall asleep, others feel fitter, some get emotional, and others need to catch their breath. Everything is possible here.\u201d<\/p>\n
